it's not pokertracker. You were probably on poker prophecy or poker edge

What is your basis for believing this? I don't want to sound like a d*&k, but I just want to make sure I have my facts straight before I risk my account. Is it because NO ONE ELSE YOU KNOW has received a message like this?

About 10 posts down the page, someone will mention a website and you'll reply "oh yes I visited it once, but only to look at my own stats". I predict...

[/ QUOTE ]

What does this have to do with them accusing me of running an unfair "software application?"

[/ QUOTE ]

Because that's generally what has happened when people make these kind of posts about receiving this message from Party Poker. Have you visited any websites like poker prophecy, etc?

Vespa is a noob/ doesn't know anything.

What probably happened was he used a site like poker edge...and it's either in his cookies or history and party is warning about that. party specifically says that pokertracker and pokerace HUD are fine.

Either that or he hates the guys that made either 1 of those software applications..so he's trying to start a rumor.

A while ago I received a message from PP that read: "The PartyPoker.com application has detected that you have a software program running on your computer that gives you an unfair advantage over other players. It is in strict violation of out Terms and Conditions . . .If you persist in using the program we must warn you that your account may be closed and any funds remaining in your account may be deemed forfeited."

[/ QUOTE ]

This is taken verbatim from the printed screen which I still have saved. I'd post the actual screen but I can't cut/paste, and I don't know how to upload images onto the forums.

I don't have a personal agenda and I loved the program when I was using it. I don't know the people who made it either so just CALM DOWN. I was simply wondering if my account was in jeopardy if I used the program.
Also, when you say that it's probably because I visited these sites, that doesn't explain why Party refers to a "software application running on my computer" in their complaint.
You say that Party says specifically that using PT and PAHUD is fine (I hope they do so I can continue using PT), and if you could prove that they say this, that would ease my concerns greatly. Thanks

Because, in typical Party fashion, it's a generic catch-all statement. They've detected something on your pc that they don't like, that's the message they give you. Same one that other people who has poker prophecy cookies on their pc have had in the past.

Listen.
You asked a question.
You got answers.
If you don't like the ones you got here, why don't you call/e-mail Party. But I guess you won't believe them either.

And you still haven't aswered:

which makes me more than a bit suspicious.

dude it's not PT. You were on a shady site, maybe checking out a bot site or something. Write party and ask them. they'll tell you

I hope you're right. I never heard of this problem before though (and I won't bother asking for a link), but now I'm wondering where it says that Party specifically allows PT and PAHUD as this would completely free me of any worries.
