Re: Post stereotypical college kid music.
how has no one said Widespread Panic yet?
oh, and facebook has a nifty little feature called 'the pulse' which makes charts based on what people put in there interests. so, according to facebook, the 10 most popular bands in all of collegedom: 1. Jack Johnson 2. Coldplay 3. DMB 4. The Beatles 5. Green Day 6. Led Zepplin 7. The Killers 8. Fall Out Boy 9. Red Hot Chili Peppers 10. Sublime for this list, here's what I have concluded: college kids like to smoke pot. |

Re: Post stereotypical college kid music.
All,
it seems that there are two kinds of stereotypical college student. First, there's the-probably much more prominent in the 90's-hipster type wannabe who is inclined to listen to DMB , Jack Johnson and stuff like that. Then there's the "average" kid of today who is probably more in FallOut Boy, OAR, and whatever leans/is popular at the time. |

Re: Post stereotypical college kid music.
There is also some older music that was once enjoyable, but has been beaten to death by college students. Songs like Sweet Home Alabama and many of Journey's tunes just don't do it for me any longer . . .
