I love the games at Casino Arizona. Very loose, very passive and very profitable!

Thanks for the help guys. My opponent had Ace King and I was kicking myself for not getting in a few more bets.

I took a small measure of satisfaction in that it was his very first hand at the table and he had not received his chips from the chip runner yet.

When the chip runner showed up after the hand, he had to give her more cash because he was already broke from his original buy.

Help a noob out: we completed preflop cuz we're getting 14:1, right?

Yup. We can basically play any two cards in that situation. We're basically looking to flop two pair or better.

Thanks. In general, what kind of odds do we need to play any two cards?

Outside of the blinds you'd need a lot in order to just play "any two". But by the time you get enough odds any smart player with a decent hand is licking his lips as he values raises the table. I certainly wouldn't be calling from the button with 72o with any less then 8 callers in front of me. From the blinds you can be a lot more liberal with it though. I'll call any two suited cards if I see 4+ callers and my calling standards just go down from there as my odds go up.

It's hard to say, but if we're getting more than about 10-1 it's probably safe to play anything given that we're only facing a small blind. If we're facing a full small bet (say, we're considering calling a UTG raise in the BB), we'd need more like 12-1+. The differences, of course, comes in the difference in implied odds.

id say it also seriously depends on your opponents. how aggresive they are and how likely they are to hav another ace(which i most certainly bigger than yours)
