i'm not sure about the flop. i sure would like CO to get lost, and button is likely to bet overs here. why not c/r that flop? or lead it and make CO worry about getting raised behind him?

i'm donking that turn card.

Why is the flop play here good? That's the one street I don't like, given how our hand is disguised from the preflop action, and how well hero connected with the flop. Bet for continuity's sake (and value, given the multiway action). Seems to me that bet-3 bet (which I prefer), or a checkraise could fold out a hand like 44 or A5s on the later streets, and should we hit one of our OESD outs, there's no reason to think that line would inhibit future action.

For those recommending a check-call on the flop, are we checkraising a lot of turns?

Why do we want the cutoff to get lost? Doing that just gets us headsup against the guy who is probably ahead of us who plans on showing down his hand.

Wouldn't we want random overs (AX, or K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Qx or K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Jx that would peel for 1 bet) to fold in a pot this big? I don't mind getting heads up here against button's 5 or 6.

The button 3 bet preflop. Why would we put him on a 5 or a 6?

I was thinking he cold-called preflop - misread the action.

Preflop is fine.
I like the flop play.
I would bet the turn. I like betting the turn much more than checkraising.
The way it played out you should bet the river, and I don't think this is close.

i think i like the check if you're intending to call a CO bet and raise a button bet. but maybe i'm crazy.

edit: depends on the button though, if he's not calling with an overpair its dumb.

I think that if you bet then the CO will raise with a straight or a flush since he seems like a noob which will make the button fold and then you will call to either chop or lose and then go kick your dog.

If you check the river then the CO will bet with his straight or flush and the button might call with his overpair and then you will call and pick up the squeezecall. I just made that up, credit me in the future.

Sometimes it gets checked through when the CO was calling two cold on the turn with some hopeless hand and the button looks at the board and says "What do I beat? Nothing." but that is the lot of an out of position player-- can't do much about it.
