[/ QUOTE ] sure it could still be a conflict .. say onboard card goes bad you install new one and things are good the install does something that doesnt persist or only partially persists past a reboot you lose power for a sec and your back to where you started. Just trust me .. if you can, go into your bios and disable the onboard card, it will make everything easier .. even if its just not seeing the device in your device list so you are positive you are trying to repair the right connection. even if its not the problem, it may make the problem easier to fix. |

After I reformatted, the onboard card actually worked fine. Regardless, I'll give this a shot.
