Notre Dame isn't a real football team. If this was a perfect world every team could call themselves the Buckeyes.

They weren't that good last year. They lost to Michigan St. and most of the "good" teams they beat went on to have losing records ala Tennessee and Pitt. Their mot heralded triumph last season was almost beating Southern Cal. If they had been in the big 10, they would have finished 4th or 5th.

I agree with both Max and Brendan. I think most of notre dame's fame came from the almost win against usc. Also, GO BUCKEYES.
