Battle of the Forums - Idea, what mods will help?

I dont want anything with collusion, but rather, a bracketed or points based series of matches/tournaments where we can crown a champion forum. Twoplustwo as a whole right now needs some kind of unifying event and I think this could help the general mood around here. Any ideas for what format would be best (massive heads up bracket? series of MTTs). The one way I could think of would be that each forum has a freeroll or cheap tournament. Top player from the freeroll moves on to the heads up finale against all the other forum winners or something. The rail chat alone would make this worth it.

So, we all announce a tourney (what playmoney or $5 or something?) at the same time for our forum, and that will be followed up by the final tourney?

I suggest pokerstars for this.

And 7pm at night gives all time zones a shot of sorts.

I am sure SSNL will be able to put together a formidable squad out of our base of 10293487576565848 regular posters. I feel badly for you other low traffic forums because you will be battling amongst yourselves for 2nd place. [/trash talking]

Jurollo, this is a good idea. You need to find a format where no one type of player will have a huge built in advantage to give each forum a shot at winning this thing.

nah, just make it a bigass nl tourney, where we all sign up those stating their allegiance, and the winner takes the title. Easy.

Each forum has a champ (by the last man standing from that forum), and the overall winner gets the title.


Tomorrow 8pm, please! Announce it ASAP, so we got a day of advertising/recruitment.

Ohhhh, I can't wait!
