I used to laugh at the Rocks and Rings stuff, but I've seen him on HSP and he seems pretty cool to me now. They did a feature with him on this show Inside Poker, went to his house, interviewed him and such. He seemed pretty mature and intelligent, the other stuff is his 'character'. It worked didn't it?

Many of the top players were nerd/geek types growing up and many still are. They've just adapted a cover personality to mask it. Chris Ferguson is a perfect example. Take off the hat and trim the hair and beard and you have a math geek/ballroom dancer who wears floods and pants above his waist.
