you have position, if he is semibluffing then he will bet the river regardless

if he has a weaker made hand he probably isnt calling a river bet

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm not sure how often he follows through the river

I think you made a mistake here. A draw just got there, and many players also like to wait until the turn to check/raise when they hit a flop h/u against an aggressive opponent. Furthermore, if your opponent is running a bluff at you, he might continue firing if you have him beat.

Just my opinion...

Against something like 10-12-out draw (NFD?) he's putting in half of those last 2 bets but only pulling out 1/4 of them. That costs him 0.5 BB. If you calldown, you still payoff when he hits either way (although he may whiff a river sexy if you plan to check behind a diamond).

So I think your line is best against a draw by 0.5 BB.

Against a 4-bet, you're behind like always but presumably will call to try to pick a Q or J which will sometimes be good in a large pot. So if he has a huge hand youve put in almost one extra bet (4 BB on big streets and vs 3 with a calldown) That extra bet is going in with very little equity.

So, I think we need to figure out, does he have us whipped half as often as a 12-out draw? There's other stuff like draws with <12 outs as well but not much we are behind and have alot of outs to (T3? T7 suited?) so that pushes it more towards a 3-bet I think.

yech, no one else likes it that much. I like the points you guys have made. It looks like i mis-estimated how often he does this with just a draw.
