Re: Some guy is pushing EVERY hand preflop at 2/4 NL...

[ QUOTE ] Play the cards - not the player [/ QUOTE ] Worst Advice ever [/ QUOTE ] Well, if he's pushing every single pot preflop, your cards become a whole lot more important. Obviously position matters, and it helps to know what kind of ranges other players are on, but it's much more important what hand you're dealt. http://gocee.com/poker/HE_Value.htm That's a useful page for that kind of thing. |

Sklansky and Miller's NL book also has helpful charts for preflop all-in situations.

Re: Some guy is pushing EVERY hand preflop at 2/4 NL...
[ QUOTE ]
I was at a 5/1- table a few nights ago, guy comes on with $27,000 and starts to push people. All of a sudden the entire table's IQ drops to the lower teens as they stop playing the cards and go after him. At that point the table is useless as the pusher as won and wins huge pots. Why is it people get REAL dumb when a chip pusher comes aboard. They all start to bluff the bluffer. His final hand he won a $420 pot with 5 guys capping it with crap and he has AA. Play the cards - not the player. [/ QUOTE ] I'm confused. Did you mean 5/10 or $0.50/$1.00? How did they play a $420 pot? |
