In my records

0.5/1.0: 1.9BB/100 for rake
0.25/0.5: 2.5BB/100

I guess it's even higher if you play in like Party

Imagine those rake go to my pocket........

My average rake is 4% of the pot online. The fact that the websites almost make as much money as I do when I play just confirms they have a pretty hot business. Personally however they have lost money to me because of their bonus.

Its still a good deal for them though because my play generates money for them from the other players.

I have to believe that the golden age of online poker may be drawing to a close though. I wouldn't be surprised if we end up having a withholding rake applied which will used to pay off governments that are trying to close online gambling because they aren't getting their share of the pie.

With the amount of revenue the sites generate each day- I don't see them going away anytime soon. Would you?

No but the governments of some countries are really pissed at the trough's location and data collection methods and are seriously doing their best to get in on the action.

Income tax revenue from online players is probably nothing to sneeze at and it seems logical that a withholding rake is the most likely solution with the poker companies paying a rake back as it were to the governments based on the players place of residence.

If something doesn't happen I think the pressure to close down online gambling sites is going to continue to increase.

Isn't that rake figure an estimate for ALL players sitting at the tables you were at - in other words 76.87 is the total taken from all ten players in those games - so if you were playing 10 man tables your share is 7.67 and is only an estimate - perhaps I am wrong but I have read replies to posts from people trying to work out their rake on the PT site.

The Total Rake on the General tab of the stats window is the total rake taken from any hand you won. It's an estimate because if you split the pot with someone PT still assumes you paid the entire rake even though you only paid a portion of it. On the Game Notes tab, the total rake is the rake taken from all hands you were involved in.

There you go - that is an answer to a question from the PT programmer.
