I'd actually check-and-see here. There's a good chance that one of the two guys behind you will bet if they've made it this far; good enough that the value you lose from the occasional checked-behind river will be more than compensated by the BB you save when it goes bet-raise or bet-checkraise IMO.

Redd if you truly believe that this river will always get bet even when someone doesn't have a 3 or flush then I would go for the check/call too. But are we that confident we won't just get value bet consistantly with a check?

I do think check/calling is a viable option but our impression here could change from table to table.

Meh, if there was one guy behind me I'd bet it. But with 2 cold-callers behind me, I think there's a pretty good chance. I do think it's pretty close, and as a disclaimer I get more excited than most about having someone bet their weaker hands for me on the river.

[/ QUOTE ]

Thats what I'm unsure of. Without reads I'm not convinced someone bets this river without a three or a flush. As I said in the other post, I think we get a lot weaker hands to call us here than bet it themselves.

To the people advocating bet/fold, why not just c/c? With the latter it's one bet to see a showdown? And wouldn't only better hands call you here? I guess maybe a Q would call..

[/ QUOTE ]

Maybe a Q would call? Haha, there's a 0.00% chance of a Q folding, same w/ 44-99.

True, (fwiw I don't think a PP is out of the question) but I think 3s and flushs are pretty heavily weighted in these guys hand ranges after the play on the first 4 streets.

Nobody has a 3. I'd be surprised if one of them didn't have a busted wheel draw.

I agree. I went with a bet/fold here, and with the size of the pot and the aggressiveness of SH players in general, I think check/call is better. A lot of the hands that we expect calls from will probably bet here, like a Q or a mid PP, and we may even catch some moron betting a missed straight draw.
