[ QUOTE ]
Alright who was a geek and use to play magic cards?

[/ QUOTE ]

Still am a geek, but stopped playing Magic in 2001 when the Odyssey block came out. Sold a bunch of cards a couple of years ago, and need to give a bunch more away before moving right now. (I do have "good stuff" bindered, though, that I'll probably never sell).

I used to play all the time, played in a few pro tours/grand prix events.

Used to crush T2 with the old Recurring/Survival deck.
Damn that is a long time ago now when that was legal...

I still play booster draft/rochester draft with a few of my friends when they buy boxes since I sold my collection in the long long ago

durk - where did you play in MA? TJ's or YMG? We probably know a lot of the same peeps as I used to play in MA and knew a lot of the regs.

Sadly I still have a bunch since I have been too lazy to sell them on ebay for the last 10 years. I believe a lot of magic players and computer gamers have moved to poker since the competitive nature is similiar and the money much better.

I grew up in upstate (Syracuse) NY, never really played in MA. I didn't move here until after college.

I sold mine over here in England to another soldier in my unit. I am, however, still quite geeky and play D&D regularly, when I am not on damn shift work such as I am right now.

I am missing my first South African nationals ever this weekend, which is really sad since I have played in every Nationals we have ever had down here. Poker money > Boosters I suppose. Looks like I am picking it up as a side game again since some of my friends are keen on playing Magic again post-WOW.

Used to love MTG. My favorite deck was a necratog control sort of deck. Won a little local Type II tourney with it a couple of months after getting into the game.

My current geeky indulgence is Warhammer 40K. Slowly putting together a space ork army.
