With no reads on both players, I would rather take a showdown line which is why I dont mind checking here. I think the river play is close between Checking and seeing the action, Bet/folding and even Bet/calling depending on the action.

Maybe. I think, for example, that if we bet, the next guy folds and the last guy raises, I don't think we can give it up in the unprotected position.
