Re: Most Disappointing Wrestling Matches
That was WM 9 ClassicBob. WMX was Luger v Yoko and then Yoko v Bret at the end.
Goldberg-Nash at Starcade. Horrible, nice way to kill your #1 draw forever. Nash v Hogan. Title is now a joke, nWo re-re-re-reforms. Goldberg is made a bigger joke. Khali-Undertaker. The entire fued. I thought WWE would stop hiring talentless hosses, I was wrong. |

Re: Most Disappointing Wrestling Matches
Jack Bando, why did you think Goldberg-Nash killed Goldberg forever? I mean, eventually he had to lose, and I think that him losing by a taser didn't diminish anything about him being invincible. If he had won it back after a few months from Nash, I think he would've been just as popular...but yeah, it was silly to do that with Hogan.

Wrestlemania X. Bret gets Yokozuna in the Sharpshooter, Mr. Fuji hits him with the powder, Bret ends up losing the title. This was disappointing, but not nearly as bad as Hogan running in and squashing Yoko right after. Killed Yoko's heat and reeked of backstage [censored]. [/ QUOTE ]good posting. I like Hogan a lot watching him on his VH1 show, and I can't discount his influence on pro wrestling, but damn how I hated how he always had to be put over oftentimes at the expense of the company as a whole. |

Not that they were talented wrestlers or anything, but I remember being really disappointed when Yokozuna defended his title against Lex Luger. Luger hit him with the elbow and knocked him out of the ring.....Yokozuna got counted out and Lex just let this happen, knowing full well that the title can't change hands on a countout. I remember being so disappointed and confused as to why he would let this happen. [/ QUOTE ] A couple classic Luger clips: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BHTj7qfnTak http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qsHwFyY3jrk Honestly I don't know how he remained a face for as long as he did. Did people actually cheer for him? He was reportedly a deuche backstage as well. |

Hogan vs Sting, Starcade '97
Obviously not looking at this from a technical standpoint, this match was a disaster and the real beginning of the end. |

Surprised no one has mentioned Ultimate Warrior vs Hogan II (in WCW). [/ QUOTE ] why on earth would anyone expect this to be anything other than the clusterfuck that is was? Every single moment leading up to the match was a complete and utter disaster. Not to mention that [censored] clown Brutus Beefcake was also involved. I think the term disappointing implies some sort of positive expectations. When my dog goes outside to take a dump i'm not disappointed when he leaves behind a pile of [censored]. |
