I agree with this, though I think that it would occur far less frequently than betting a worse hand if we check.

how many worse hands raise if we bet? (I can only think of flush draws)
how many worse hands bet if we check? (flush draws, lots of pps, and sometimes he'll check through and call a river bet when he would have folded the turn.)
