All,

FTP is looking like they know a lot about running a business.

Care to go into further detail?

combination of spending enough money to market to the new players, hiring the big names to entice said players to signup when they hear about FTP, having reliable software and customer service (or so I believe), and spreading more types of games/big games to attract players that can't find these games elsewhere.

doesn't hurt that these big games will attract lots of attention on the internet boards and will generate interest in the site in general for the average guy who wants to watch some high stakes internet poker and maybe eventually try his hand at the game.

The game was pretty sick last night. It started out as tay and stilltipin playing heads up for about an hour ad joined by eric sagstrom, ozzy and prahlad. Prahlad and Tay were actually chatting like friends and talking about jamie gold.Tay ended up being about 45000 winner, mostly from stilltipin. I dont know who stilltipin is, he didnt stand a chance against tay although he did dish out one of the sickest beat i have seen in a while for 25k pot.

i would consider that a bad beat as well. strangely it didn't really bother me, i think because I didn't actually lose money on the hand. interesting phenomenon though.
