Say what you want about Peter King, but he knows his football. He called the Steelers the best #6 seed ever and he is in fact, correct.

[/ QUOTE ]

sure, but its like being the best .5/1 LHE player in the world, it doesn't mean [censored]

only thing that matters is best #1 seed ever

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm sorry, but I don't agree. If these Steelers go on and win nit all, they will cement their place in history. No one will remember who the #1 seeds are, but they'll remember the #6 seed in 2005-06 of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

[/ QUOTE ]

I think this is wrong. People will remember Indianapolis as the 13-0 at one point #1 seed that Pittsburgh knocked out. Depending on how the game Sunday goes Seattle would easily be memorable in your scenario as well.

As far as the post above yours that the "only thing that matters is best #1 seed ever" I don't get that.

Jared, I'll respond to your PM tomorrow at work when I'm sober...

As to your post, this is the first time ever a #6 seed has made it to the SB. It's the first time anyone has ever defeated the #3, #2 and #1 seed. If Pittsburgh wins the SB, it will go down as one of the best teams ever because of that fact.

"Best teams ever?"

The Steelers are very good, but I'd think that comment is a drunken boast.

Keep in mind that if Pittsburgh wins the SB that will mean beating a 3 seed, 2 seed and both #1 seeds.

I won't deny that I'm TORE UP right now, but I seriously believe that. No other #6 seed has went to the SB, let alone beating the #1, #2 & #3 seed. Add that to the fact that if they beat Seattle (#1 seed in the NFC), I really think this team will go down in history.

They'll be the answer to a good trivia question sort of like the 1985-86 Patriots were before this year (the only team to win three road playoff games).

But, I don't see them being viewed as anything than an average Super Bowl champion.

this year's Patriots were the best 4 seed.

03/04 Pats were the best #1 seed.

Have the Pats ever been a 3 seed?
Also, if they've ever been a 6, then that team was better than Pit this year.

You are a moron.

Can we get astroglide or diebitter into here to * this guy? This is the 2nd time he has said this to me unprovoked. It should have been clear to anyone with half a brain that my post was in jest.
