If he's far away I wouldn't sweat it every now and then. You can also express your displeasure without telling her what to do. If she gives a flying [censored] what you think she'll take the hint, if she doesn't, well, you have that information to act on as you please.

My girlfriend doesn't mind that I occasionally correspond with friends I have nailed. If she did I would think she is being crazy.

girls enjoy a certain degree of jealousy/protection - some more than others. I'm about the least jealous dude you can imagine, and this has bothered girls in the past. you don't want to be a crazy stalker dude though.
