Woods usually allows you to put anything on the board, if there are enough people interested they call the list!

unless you got a decent size bankroll and can take some serious loose ball suck outs, you might as well play 1-2NL because you will loose the same and loose less over the long run.

[/ QUOTE ]

$1K swings at 5-5NL or 20-40 limit aren't a big deal. Losing $1K in 1-2 on a regular basis would be mindless. If you're losing the same in 1-2 as you are in 20-40 limit you should stop playing NL.

if there's gonna be no more online poker, we need to get a regularly-spread 50/100 only hold 'em going. thoughts on this?

[/ QUOTE ]

what about mixed games? i miss people playing 75/150 and asking at the table how to bring-in

but yes, i agree.. if somebody asks me to play another 40/80 game there i'm gonna kill them, b/c theres always 1 or 2 who brings ALL RED CHIPS and i want to stab them.

i honestly do think that 50/100 would play, but it might take a while before you guys get any solid showing of bad players.. b/c i'm not playing in it unless theres at least one awful player.. i mean, i'd love to sit and battle it out w/ you, brian, tommy, and josh.. but i'd rather us just pass around money in a cirlce instead.

34truth, do you know a lot of the 20/40 regulars? i'm gonna make some calls this weekend and ask one of them to start one and have them call me if it gets running.

edit: 75/150 would be better with 1/3 chip structure.

ive played that game for about 5 years now.
its ALWAYS insane, meaning the majority of players are regulars that love to gamble and take flops and try to draw out.
ive made alot at that game, but i have also taken my share of beats from the crazy regulars like Tommy Pizza, Cricket, Gene etc....

but from a level headed poker players standpoint, the ups will outweigh the downs by far.

that's the problem, every time I get asked to start a 50/100, it's by Barry and his buddy that plays real high.

Ideally, of course, it would be best to just play 50/100 with all the 20/40 regulars, but who knows if that would work or is even the best thing for the game in the long run.

no, I don't know anybody in the game in the "real world", so I don't have their numbers or anything.

Let me see if I have this correct: you're interested in playing in a game, but not interested enough that you would actually come to the casino to help start it?

probably a little too high for me, plus the 1/2 blind structure is better towards promoting action IMO.

I have only been in 1 bad 20/40 game. It had 5 2+2'ers and a solid playing regular. It only lasted about 10 minutes until I got moved to the main game and it was good as always.

[/ QUOTE ]

i think i was in this game. along with crackerzack, lil, maxpower, and asian mark who now lives in vegas and is doing well. that was my second time playing 20/40.

and yes when i moved to the main game it was full of slot machines. and was not the best table.
