I kind of surprised at so many saying to RR pre. Playing AQ in a big pot against a tight range oop is low on my list of priorities. Could someone please explain?

You are ahead of his range. He will usually fold.

Just don't get too married to your hand.

On a loose day.

I don't like the 3bet preflop against ultra nitty aggro guys. I'd much rather prefer to give them no action instead.

Yves is a tight nit and he probably has a boat so id checkfold river. If he doesnt have a boat and he has sd value, he'll check behind.

reasoning as follows: Scarecard hit on the turn and isntead of betting , he checked behind. Yves is aggro and smart enogh to know hes cool to checkbehind with a set or 2pair to try and fill up, yet if he had a strait or if he had an underpair(aka air) he would fire the turn.

When the river pairs the board he isnt betting a worse hand ever. Like he isnt checking the turn with a strait and then firing the river when the board pairs - that play would be retarded.

Also, he probably wont darktunnel bluff the river, since him checking the turn and firing a baord pairing river would be a huge parlay dependiing on you having a strait (even though you could very well have a house and be looking to cr).

Also if you gaybet the turn expect to be bluffraised off your hand a good portion of the time b/c of your transparent play. You are much better to checkcall a scary board here if you think your AQ is good enough to do so.
