I'm observing your table, and everything seems fine (you have 57,905 chips).

What's with the measly small antes btw? Now level 12, blinds 500-1000 and ante 50. 50! Why have antes at all then?

Forget that, that's a pretty normal ante in later levels.

Now 11 hours in, and no end in sight (2 tables left though it will take a gazillion rounds to blind out some of the larger sitouts).

You finished the tournament in 2nd place,
Thank you for playing

Didn't take too long as chip-leader Maniac went all-in almost every hand (busted one after one), and the largest sitout woke up when we were 4-handed.

But 12 hours, yikes. At least I'm now a virtual millionaire.

Good evening, 2+2. I'm Bryan S., part of the Tournaments Team. We've been running some tests, as you all have seen, in preparation for this year's WCOOP events.

Regarding the odd display of chips on the tables of some players...

In the past, we have been limited in the number of total chips in play that we could have in any one tournament. As the tournaments have grown, we have found it necessary to address this software limitation and now have the ability to have as many chips in play as we like for the forseeable future. (The previous number was in the tens of millions, while the new number is well into the billions.)

The visual representation of the chips in play is a function of the player's PokerStars client. Some players, running an older client, see chips represented in the way you've seen here in this thread. The actual chips in play aren't affected, but the way they're shown to the player is affected. In the near future, an automatic download triggered by the start of the PokerStars client will fix this display issue for all of our players. In the meantime, we are being cautious to avoid this situation by running high chip count tournaments such as many of you saw today only as necessary to test certain elements.

To make sure that you're running the latest available version of the PokerStars client, you may employ either of the following two options:

1. Ensure that your shortcut to PokerStars points to "PokerStarsUpdate.exe", not "PokerStars.exe". Doing so will ensure that every time you log on, you have the latest available software.
2. Download the latest client directly from our website: PokerStars download page

We hope that you're enjoying the growth of PokerStars, and we hope to see you at the tables of the upcoming WCOOP!

All the best,

Bryan S.
PokerStars Tournaments Team
