Default Florida - NCAA Champs

My roommate will give me 12:1 on Florida winning the NCAA championship. It sounds pretty good to me, any thoughts?

I'd probably give you 12:1 too. I might give you 15:1. Too much parity this year (i.e. lots of so-so teams that could go on a heater and win 6 straight since there is no dominant team. And no, Duke isn't dominant, especially when they aren't shooting lights out). But if you have more faith in Florida than I do, it's probably a good bet.

The first book I looked at has Florida 15:1, and I wouldn't touch it.

Florida might be the worst #2 team in the history of the rankings.

Although UCLA at #1 about 8 years ago is close.

Those numbers will always be inflated if the team is undefeated.

The predictor shouldn't be, because it counts close wins similar to close losses. W-L record isn't so huge.

That said, Florida just lost.

THAT said, predictor would have lined today's Florida-Tennessee game at about 0, so it's not such a surprise that they lost.
