Re: Pair+OESD vs. flop overbet. PP100 6max
If you're managing your bankroll properly, you should never turn down a spot you know is +EV for you.

Re: Pair+OESD vs. flop overbet. PP100 6max
I don't think AK makes that big of a flop bet. It's hard to see this being anything but a big pair. I think you have to take your small edge at this point and push.

The push is very +EV when he has AK, which is probably a substantial part of his range. [/ QUOTE ] i think ak is a very small part of his range, but it doesn tmatter because the only hands that pushing is -ev against is a set/made straight, both extremely unlikely givin a reraise and this board. i find folding in a clearly ev spot because your scared of variance to be a terrible way to play poker |

I agree, however I can make a case for turning down a +ev wager even with a sizable roll.

Re: Pair+OESD vs. flop overbet. PP100 6max
In the heat of the moment, when I have 20 seconds to weigh everything, I doubt I'd be able to come to the conclusion that this is a "clearly" +EV spot.

Re: Pair+OESD vs. flop overbet. PP100 6max
I like a push. You need very little FE to make a shove profitable, and even if you think it is minimal, I would think you have some. It's pretty close, and others may disagree with this logic, but in spots like this I decide based on how I've been running. If I've been running hot I usually shove here, if I've been running like [censored], I will often fold.

no, that's actually the first thing I thought of.
secondly, suppose you decide to cut your session short because you get discouraged. You know, poker gets really sucky when you run bad. In this case, you are cutting down on your hourly rate. |

easy push. also, this would be good for meta game reasons.
