If nothing works out, you could do one more thing. You are a good poster and a nice guy aba, so im sure if you rallied up 2+2 and got alot of posters to threaten to boycott ftp you might actually put enough pressure on them to do the right thing.

We will be debiting $18 000 from your poker account some time in the
near future and will be crediting that $18 000 to Dustin Dirksen's
account.

On a lighter note, I happened to catch your 1 outer against John
Dagostino on the $50/$100NL HE just a few minutes ago. Nicely done
sir.

Wow. What a dick? First he says 18k will be removed from your account and then a "lighter note".wtf.

I am sorry I dont really know what to say. Its good to trust people but I think you have to be more careful online. Hope it works out for you.

Hello Brian,

Thank you for your reply.

We have had similar situations in the past, where an unauthorized
transfer was initiated to a legitimate player in exchange for a similar
amount on a different poker site. Often, on one of the poker sites, the
account sending the funds to the legit player has been compromised, and
the account that is receiving the funds from the legit player is a new
account created by the hackers.

We will continue to look into this issue, as it seems as though this
has
gotten more complicated.

Please respond to this email with the account on UB that you
transferred
the $18 000 to. At this time, we will not be debiting your account.

Thank you for your continued cooperation.

Regards,

Tom

so they are saying sometimes ppl fake being guys like dustin Dirksen to getu to transfer 18k thinking its a known player when its not, which makes sense...
But, if its a scammer why the hell would he send u 18k back. obv. not a scam.
thats prob. the dumbest thing ive heard.

I probably didn't make this clear but the money was in my account before I sent it. Tho I guess I was (not anymore) naive enough to send the money at the same time.

Sounds like the way the scam would work is, I hack X highrolling player's account gaining access to it, and create a similarly-named account on another site. I then approach player Y under the account I hacked into and offer to send him the money in this account (which is obviously not mine) in exchange for a transfer of equal money into MY fraudulent account on the other site. So I am sending somebody else's money on the one site and receiving someone else's money on the other. I'm sure the money is then either withdrawn immediately or transferred, or more likely dumped, to another player to withdraw. Advantages of doing it this way as opposed to all on one site is that theoretically the second site (UB in this case) will be less quick to find out about it most likely. Sounds from the FPT rep's email though like the sites are in communication, probably for this very reason.

I've done the same thing in the past with friends I've trusted and they all turned out OK. That being said, trading money just sucks for honest guy. The best you can do is breakeven, the worst you can do is lose money and/or get your account frozen. Even if it's .000001% chance. There is no upside for the straight shooter in this spot if you're trading 1/1.

Well unless you think he really sucks and is going to use that 18k to play you HU right away. LOL
