Most clubs are in the Chelsea/meatpacking district area.
Crobar on 28th and 10th can be fun...they have an open bar deal one night of the week I think.
Lotus is also good, and there are some other places near it (14th and 9th) that are good as well.
Maybe check out Duvet, too (20th and 6th).

Jay Z's 40/40 Club might be what you're looking for. Or if you want more variety with lots of different rooms playing different types of music, then check out Webster Hall maybe.

I may be going to nyc in the next few weeks, and I don't know much about the nightlife there. What are everyone's favorite places?

I'm mostly lookin for places that play hip hop in at least one room, and may have like 10+ people in the group, and prob want to get a table(s).

[/ QUOTE ]

you get a table, you usually spend a lot of money. Might be completely standard to you, i don't know but sometimes out of towners are just suprised by the cost.

Yeah, depending on the club be prepared to spend $200-500 per bottle with a minimum requirement of one bottle per 4-6 people.

Cain is pretty good. Or Lotus, Marquee, Pascha, Bungalow 8, Cielo, PM etc. Most are expensive and have covers and forget it if you're with like 4 guys and it's past 10 o'clock. You can always try to buy your way in for like at least $50 a head or so but be discreet with the bouncers. Probably won't happen at Cain or Cielo though.

I would suggest that at least 6, preferable 7, of the 10 people you are going with be female.

There has been a trend away from big clubs with multiple rooms in NYC. Most of the good new places that people mention are smaller and usually only have one type of music playing. There are a few large clubs still around including Pascha, Avalon and Webster Hall (not recommended). Some of the really popular places (mainly by meatpacking) have also being using 'face control' as my friends call it. We have seen people getting turned away because of how they look and what they wear on Saturday nights(the busiest). Good luck!
