Well this is as good of thread as any for a little hi-jack....

I am a Tunica local, any of the other locals here care to reveal their identity?

The 4/8 on Saturday night at the Horseshoe was the softest limit game I've ever played. Variance kicked me in the face hard, but what a game. I only lost $40 despite two separate 2 outers for $250 pots and various and sundry other hilarious pokerish thinkgs.

Did Homer three bet the turn with a gutshot and get there on the river?

What are some decent resturants in Tunica? Anything like Chili's or Bennigans would be acceptable.

I'm going to try to start playing B&M tourneys.

I'm 90% sure I'll be at the Horseshoe bounty tourney Wednesday evening. $90+15 (+25 for the bounty pool) looks like the most reasonable deal out there. Look for the fat guy with the Red Sox cap.

[/ QUOTE ]

The fat guy with the Red Sox cap, because he's on a very short BR, suggested a deal when the field of 72 had been whittled down to 5. The big stack took $1400, and the other four, including the fat guy with the Red Sox cap, took $900 (and don't forget those seven bounties scored by the fat guy in the Red Sox cap).

Voila, instant BR.

(Nobody hit me with a "Sup, bro?". I shot not one, but TWO of them at Chipr777, but they both sailed right over his head.)

There are sorts of places like that about 20 minutes north in Southaven/HL area. As far as in Tunica, its the casinos or nothing.

Any 2+2ers there this week?

[/ QUOTE ] I work nights at Horseshoe as a dealer/floor, my names Todd. Look me up when you get to town. I'm off Thursdays and Fridays. Just ask any dealer or floor where Todd is and they'll point me out to you.

Register for a player's card and then hit him up for free food. It is not required to bring him a GOOD cigar, but....

This was back in May. I didn't meet a Homer, but there was one drunk middle aged dude with about $1000 in front of him who was spewing left and right. I value bet him with Ace high in a $140 pot on the river. FUN! He and an older Asian man were sparring verbally and with chips. I lost track of how many times the Asian guy would raise, I would reraise sitting to his immediate left, tight passive to my left would fold and then this guy would 3 bet. Of course, then the cold call brigade on the other end of the table would fall in line, LOL.

Stuff like 7 way capped preflop, I have AJ spades, flop comes AJ5, turn gives me the flush draw as well, 5 on river. Old Asian guy has 54o. Or people cold calling 3 bets on the flop with JdTd on an A84r flop and going diamond diamond to beat my 44. Just a TREMENDOUS game.

I'm over there twice a month, but I have yet to play at Horseshoe. Tried last time, too much of a wait list at 2am on a sat night, I don't like to wait. I like to play at Sams, and Grand, 4/8 and 1/2NL.

Will be there this weekend, gonna try the Grand sat 1pm tourn, and Sams sunday 11am. Also I plan to try Hollywood cash games for a change of pace, have not been there for a year.
