is it difficult to make a report that iran troops are involved? haven't you expect exactly the same reports from the beginning?
also, there have been multiple reports that saudis were involved in 9/11. should SA then receive some heavy rain? nah, they can all fly first class when noone else can. |

[/ QUOTE ] Saudi Arabian Citizens were involved in 9/11 whereas the Iranian Government is directly behind this. See the differennce? I'm not saying that we shouldn't be harder on the Saudis, I think we should and I think the close business relationship between the Bush's and the Saudi Royals, and how that causes them to get all kinds of preferential treatment, is disgusting. |

The Iranian government does give money and sell arms to Hizballah. I guess if that makes them a legitimate target in this conflict, it makes those who give money to and arm Israel a target as well. Who might that be?

[/ QUOTE ] Umm, if you've paid attention to the discussion, the allegation isn't just that Iran gives money to Hezbollah, its that Iran is directly controlling Hezbollah, and that there are Iranian Elite troops in Lebanon helping them fire rockets. There's a big difference. |

There's a big difference. [/ QUOTE ] You said that in one post. That isn't the gist of the entire thread. Other people have been talking about financial support etc. Saying Hizb Allah is simply a puppet of Tehran is wrong. Certainly Iran has a strong influence on the group but it is an independent group with its own agenda. The Iran-puppet accusations ezist to obscure the fact that Hizbalah came into being and for a long time existed primarily to fight the 18-year Israli occupation of Southern Lebanon. As for the presence of Iranian soldiers, I've yet to see any serious evidence of it and I doubt it. We'll see, |

Over at The Washington Note, Steve Clemons is floating the notion that Israel is limiting American options in the region, perhaps intentionally, perhaps not.
