If you had adjust it for the same type of traffic for games 5/10 (or 1/2 NL) and above, how do you think the list would change?

[/ QUOTE ]
I had no idea, so I ran a database query to find out and this is what I got. Here are the sites ranked by total players at limit games of 5/10 or higher and PL/NL games of 1/2 or higher at their respective peak times yesterday.

1. PartyPoker 4860
2. PokerStars 2013
3. FullTilt 1033
4. CryptoLogic 702
5. ParadisePoker 682
6. Tribeca 524
7. PrimaPoker 520
8. PokerRoom 505
9. UltimateBet 492
10. PacificPoker 443
11. Ladbrokes 425
12. Bodog 418
13. iPoker 339
14. WPX 256
15. Tain 210
16. AbsolutePoker 194
17. Everest 147

Full Tilt is a clear #3 here. Paradise, PokerRoom and Stars all take a substantial hit when you take away the low limit games, althought Stars is still easily #2.

If you have the chance, I would appreciate seeing the numbers for NL only 1/2 and above. Full Tilt is so NL centric that I am wondering if they close the gap much if you remove the limit.

Perhaps I am just hoping because I like Full Tilt and hate limit.

As for marketing the pros, I am not sure that's it so much as it is just plain marketing. They're friggin' everywhere these days. They are all over the cardplayer.com coverage of the WSOP like maggots on a rotting corpse. And their commercials aren't serious like Stars, they're goofball crap like Party so they're going to attract a fair number of tardmonkeys.

I would be very unsurprised if in three years the big two are Full Tilt and PokerStars.

The current and peak players info is on my website, pokersitescout.com.

The info about players at particular limits comes from the database that powers the website.

Meh.. Full Tilt has so many friends, it would be easier to make note of the 'enemies of Full Tilt' instead

I think "friends of Full Tilt" is just a scam for internet players to get one of those dumb jerseys.

Hello,

When I look at cardplayer chip count updates, I see guys like Gavin Smith, Huck Seed and Carlos Mortenson chip counts shown in red as "friends of Full Tilt".

Does Full Tilt cover the entry for these friends? I wonder if it is a standard backing deal where they share any revenue.

I am just curious, because it seems like Full Tilt is really sponsoring a ton of people at the WSOP. It must cost them a fortune if they are just sponsoring all these people as opposed to backing them.

Peace,

KennyBanya

No they dont cover the buyins for the "friends" . I heard they get something like 100 $ a day plus bonuses if they make the final table. The bonuses range from 50k to 150k depending on where they finish.

I dont know what the main fulltilt team gets tho.

One little birdie told me it's $150 a day, $30k if they reach the Final Table, another $30k if its televised.

Thanks, that's interesting. Two thirds of the difference at those stakes is in limit but there's still a sizeable difference. Full Tilt basically doesn't have dick above the 3/6 blinds level. Even at 9AM Stars has ten tables above that, Tilt 1.

BTW, Scout, thanks for your site, I've used it often. Have you ever done an analysis of peak times by site?
