Thanks for the stats... i don't have poker tracker. Maybe I need it. I wonder if these results are standard or if you are just running well with these hands...

I was being serious. But you had to be an ass with your sarcastic comments. There is a world of difference between pocket fives and queens.

Stop being an ass, or post on someone else's thread.

It should have been obvious when you wrote it that this is a terrible post.

You're just saying "I don't know if I want to play these hands b/c I get put in tough spots sometimes". Sometimes you get in tough spots with TT-QQ, but do you still play them? Of course, b/c they are profitable to play.

Please tell me why 22-77 is any different?

If you want to know if 22-77 is profitable to play UTG for anyone else then just ask...

I suggest you get pokertracker and also search for previous posts in 2+2. There are many posts that can answer other possible questions you may have.

Fool, you can get into tough spots with any two cards, from AA to 2/7 offsuit. Finding tough spots isn't an indication of profitabiltiy. Take your arrogance elsewhere...

That's exactly, what he is trying to say (in a much nicer way, though).

Canada,

You need Pokertracker. It does a myriad of good things, like positional analysis of hands like small to medium pairs. At these levels the cost is pretty nominal. If it doesn't help you sloughed off what, one large bet at 30/60?

I had heard Party Poker forbid using Poker tracker, but I guess this isn't true.

77 should be +EV in all but the laggiest games UTG. Same with 66 UTG+1. 55- is dependent on table conditions. If you're only playing 88+ from UTG and UTG+1, you'll lose too much value from your better hands from those positions, in addition to not gaining the +EV that these hands are worth.

Personally, I'm baffled at how people can play 44 or even 55 profitably from UTG. Either their table selection is ridiculously good, or they're just running good.

Then what? Check and fold? C/R. It just becomes a guessing game. Does he have it?

I like to call it playing pokah.

btw I think always folding 44-77 in utg and mp is crazy talk.

as for how to play it, often u will just call the 3bet preflop, and either c/c, c/r flop, sometimes c/fing nasty ones and bet or c/c or c/r turn, and river is up in the air. sometimes u will cap preflop (yes cap, depends on player) lead flop and play poker from there.
