Just out of curiosity, should villain find a fold anywhere along the way, as played (in this game)?

[/ QUOTE ]

that is a more interesting question, but the whole hand seems standard for villain as well. i don't see a fold.

I would cap the flop against unknowns...it may be slightly more EV to wait till the turn depending on the SB's aggression factors.

I think capping the flop is way superior here. The turn will likely go the same anyway.

I disagree. The majority of players are not going to lead the turn after getting capped if they have one pair.

Especially if you look at the PF action.

I think villain can find a turn fold, I dont know how Andrew usually plays but assuming he is somewhat SF, Villain could have mucked here on the turn as he is most often up again QQ-AA IMO.

Yes he should. And if he's not making the reraise for information (to set up a later fold), he should just call: AK/AQ/KQ are not folding.

AA-QQ will lead the turn virtually always.
Too many cards can kill the action on the turn and force opponents to go into check/call mode: diamond, broadway card, ace if you are up against QQ/KK. Since the board is so drawy capping the flop won't scare anyone.

I think a flop cap will give away your hand too much, and too often SB is going to check the turn fearing JT/TT/JJ. Getting two bets from each player on the turn makes up for the 1BB you sacrifice on the flop. Also, if you cap flop and SB indeed does bet out again, BB is more likely to fold fearing a situation where he gets trapped again for multiple bets.

If villain (erm... hero in this case)'s range is QQ-AA, then AJ can't fold the turn.
