ty. it's not new, just pressure to pay bills now. i've played quite a bit of NL in the past.

what hobbs said is good, but that's what i genereally think anyways, but after i datamined a whole bunch, what do i look for at a table as far as vpip? what kind of people do i put on my buddy list? etc....

good table selection involves jumping around at times and there is no way around it. vpip probably depends on limit, so it may vary; but i like passivity as much as a really loose table. and put the fish on your buddy list and search for them before you play, get on the waiting list to their tables. presto. i'm going to my "second" job now so i'll check back later. peace.

don't forget relative position. sometimes all it takes is one complete monkey as long as he is directly to your right.

I'll just add that table selection doesn't only mean selecting the best games at your particular limit in your particular game. Sometimes playing a different limit or playing a different game (NL hold'em, Omaha, etc) will be best.
