Ooh, I almost have enough fake money to make a dollar!

Now I think for a million chips you get $5 or something from Stars (maybe its more than that, I don't know). But I find it amazing and sad that there might be people out there that will buy a million play chips for $20.


Then again, I also find it sad that there was a real estate market in Ultima Online and had I done so I could have sold all the crap on my Everquest account for hundreds of dollars (why I didn't think to do this until later I have no idea... [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img])

On Ebay they used to get 50-60 bucks for a million chips. Sad isn't it.

I wonder what these play money buyers do with their chips. Do they raise all in for a million and then brag to their friends that "I pushed my million all in and he called. So I won a million today?"

When I first started playing at Stars I ended up with 14 million in chips and they sold on ebay for 300 bucks. That is how I started my bankroll. Once the auction ended I figured that I would never get the money, but it was paid for instantly through paypal.

I told the guy to please email me when he starts playing for real money. He must be very goood. Bwhahahahahahaha.

someone said in this thread that stars pays you for these 1 million also ( although far less than ebayers)

so i guess one could over pay to get 1 million if the odds of turning it into 10 million vs some real donks in a few days... make sense??
he could then resell them on ebay.

i always wondered if the guys buying them weren't maybe a bunch of lawyers/doctors ect, that would get together and fill up a table with people they knew and play a rake free cash game. ( they would just pay off each other when they got together)
it makes more sense than setting up a private table at party poker and letting them rape..i mean.. rake you.

You can't buy/sell Pokerstars chips on ebay. Probably for the same reasons you can't use PayPal to deposit to on-line poker sites.
