Re: Results
[ QUOTE ]
FWIW I hesitate and call and its check through on the river. BB has TT Button has 88 MHIG. [/ QUOTE ] It's worth a lot as it demonstrates the power of position. Had you been last to act, it would have been checked to you each street and it would have been an easy bet. One of the reasons for raising premium hands in certain circumstances is to fold out those behind you and get the button. That benefit is unavailable when your in the SB. Not only does that make playing a hand like JJ more difficult, but when you cap preflop and add another 3SB to the pot, it becomes more correct for your opponents to chase with weak hands postflop. |

Re: JJ with Ace on the flop 3 handed

Preflop: Inadvisable to cap JJ OOP. What are you going to do if an OC comes? Flop: Check Turn as Played: Fold [/ QUOTE ] Why do you keep making these ridiculously nitty posts? Is this a joke? Are you positionally aware at all? WTF |

But if you mean, why do you think the post is nitty; that's probably because you have yet to aquire sufficient knowledge and experience to understand the concept. 2. If I make a jopke you'll know it. 3. Position is my biggest point. |

Re: JJ with Ace on the flop 3 handed
I find that when you check on the turn after raising pf OOP you open the floodgates for people to bluff at you. I'm speaking specifically about situations when you have a high PP and an ace hits. This puts you in a precarious position.
I would have continued to be aggressive and bet the turn. If raised I would fold. As played I would fold. |

I would have continued to be aggressive and bet the turn. If raised I would fold. [/ QUOTE ] This is a good way to play it too. Above I suggested a flop check. If it came back two I would fold, but I would not necessarily fold to one bet, especially if the BB checked and the button bet. |
