I think you "can" defend below 45%, but there must be alot of break even hands down there and it will cause more variance.

unfortunately there is no benchmark. Nobody really knows what hands can be profitable because we dont have large enough databases

All, thanks for input, i appreciate it. Blind play is an interesting part of the game which seems more subjective as to what is ideal than even stuff like general VPIP, so i just wanted some input... I don't usually refer to stats often but that is one area where i seemed to be an significant outlier.

If I had to just make up facts based on intuitive inferences I'd say folding under 40% is kind of like stealing past 40% where the profit curve just gets super-flat.
