Re: Flopped trips... but Rock won\'t leave... Now what?
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] check/calling is horrible in this spot. you pay of better hands and worse hands check behind. just push it [/ QUOTE ] ... and worse hands fold and better hands call. I can't see how this works better than check/calling. Maybe settle for a blocking bet? Try to make it look like a lure? That could scare a (weak) better hand into calling rather than pushing. [/ QUOTE ] It's tough to throw a blocking bet out there when Villain has $10 left and the pot is $36. Push it in, Villain isn't folding top pair for those odds and he isn't going to attempt a bluff with only $10 left. |

Dude, seriously, how many people fire 2x with flush draws in SSNL. Not [censored] many. I doubt villain puts hero on a flush.

His vpip is less than 5 over how many hands? If you have him at 5 over 200+ hands you *might* be able to put him on AA.
I go broke here always if I'm not ahead with less information. All in |

Re: Flopped trips... but Rock won\'t leave... Now what?
Easiest push ever. No way a better hand ever checks behind here. He's not much of a rock if he calls that $12 on the turn with a flush draw and if you don't go broke when he has aces then you've played it badly.
If you had $25 behind and a good read you could possibly check fold. |

Re: Flopped trips... but Rock won\'t leave... Now what?
Thanks for the feedback guys...
I definitely wasn't considering a fold here under any situation. We both only had about $10 left, which is why it was either check or push. No bet left other than a push. I opted for the check, since the river wasn't exactly a blank. Villain checked it down and was holding AKo. |

Re: Flopped trips... but Rock won\'t leave... Now what?
You can't fold here when you'll be getting 4:1 on the river at a minimum. Just push this river and hope to get called by a worse hand.

Re: Flopped trips... but Rock won\'t leave... Now what?
Folding is obviously out. If you bet anything it might as well be a push. Worse hands will call, but will probably check that river (eg a big ace). Better hands will push and you can't fold.
So... you lose the same when behind and gain a little when ahead. Easy push. |

Either way you're pretty commited to this hand. I'd rather bet all in than call all in.
