Fold PF.

Is this a fold? My stats are very tight 12/7/2.5 and I am trying to add more hands...Is this a bad spot to do so?

[/ QUOTE ]

Not UTG in a tough game. You should add more hands in later position. Like MP2 and up. Tight Stats. Are you able to have a good BB/100 with that?

[/ QUOTE ]

Honestly no...my BB/100 is .90 at 2/4...which to me seems like I am wasting my time.

I desperately want to add more hands but I hate the idea of cold-calling raises with marginal hands, or playing junk late. It's definetly something I need to work on.

Any thoughts on how to add more hands profitably?

Preflop is fine. Anyone who folds ATs UTG is too tight.

I check/raise the flop. Call down if 3-bet. Lead turn if not.

Cold calling is not the answer.

c/c, c/c, b/f i guess. i wouldn't hate check/calling the entire way, either.

Exactly what I was thinking... my standard line against a TAG is c/c, c/c, b/f. But since the villan is more aggro postflop than a normal TAG, check/calling down isn't that bad if you think villan may raise a river donk with a worse hand.

Check raise. with AF of 3.3 and a decent sample size leading out is probably going to get riased even though you may be ahead. Now if you are re-raised after your check raise that will narrow his holdings and I would call down from there.

[/ QUOTE ]

This line will usually cost you the most when behind, and make the least when ahead.

against this guy I think we should c/c, c/c, b/c. I hate folding to this guy, but I also don't want him to puss out and miss some value by him checking behind the river. I think we can safely call a river raise against this lagtard.

also wa/wb is getting tougher and tougher to use nowadays b/c TAGs know the line and will raise you with worse hands b/c of it. Not saying it is a bad line, but be sure who you are using it against. If you want a metagame move, call a TAG's river raise once and a while after this line just so he won't raise you with nothing.

also I think we fold out too many hands with a flop c/r here, especially when he will be a worse hand for us.

fully agree. i don't use the c/c, c/c, b/f much anymore. i either b/c or c/c. i have found myself sort of bluffraising TAGs who are obviously using WA/WB to get them to fold hands they should not.
