[ QUOTE ] Um, no. Per is a good player, not an agrofish. Folding the turn is fine. Having made it to the river, you have to call. [/ QUOTE ] good players don't sometimes cap in this spot preflop with AQs? maybe he thinks he can push the OP off his hand postflop [/ QUOTE ] Not unless they are tilting, which happens. No good limit player believes he can push someone off a hand. |

When Per called the turn bet I really thought he had AK, but figured I would call here and by my calling he would know I had an ace too so if he called the river I was screwed. Also since I had an ace and I thought Per did, I thought there was at least a 25-30% chance the fish had the 6. Even if I would have had AK I think its close.
As it was the fish shows A2 and scoops as per had QQ (wtf??). Thought he played better than that. Wish he did, i'd be $400 richer. |

in my experience, fishies check/raise trips on the turn more than they donk them. I think I call if I have AK.

I agree with Bob, but I was going to say your play was perfect until I read the results. Dunno what Per was thinking.

[ QUOTE ]
Oh, and raise the turn. [/ QUOTE ] I don't particularily like raising the turn for a couple of reasons. One, it's most likely the fish has a weaker A and is drawing to 3 outs and is less likely he has a legit draw. However, if fish did indeed have trips, he is 3-betting you, and I don't think I'm letting this hand go. Two, I think it's obvious by the play that Per has KK (or QQ). Raising simply lets Per off the hook when he's drawing to 2 outs (in reality 1). Call me greedy, but I want one bet from him on the river too. Garland |

How many hands does he have on you? If you really are 13-10, might I suggest folding your BB to steals less? Just a thought

Maybe raising more early, and calling less?

There's about $530 in the pot on the river. For $40 getting about 13:1 to close it out, looks like you lost track of the numbers for what should be an easy call and were more focused on Per.
