Re: Housing beat w/ pictures(large)
GET OUT OF THERE NOW!!!!!
Seriously, you can become very sick. Call the EPA or any # of other government agencies (hell, you can call city hall) and they will light a fire under his arse. Those are extremely unsafe living conditions, and it is going to take a hell of a lot more than bleach to fix. It is more than likely behind the wallboard on the first floor and growing rapidly. The longer you wait, the more damage will be done to the house. |

Re: Housing beat w/ pictures(large)
Even after only a few weeks it can move up to the first floor? And I'm already pretty sick...the other 3 people living in the house are fine, think I'm just a bit more sensetive to the problem because of my allergies. If landlord doesn't call me today, tomorrow I will threaten health department/city hall.

Under the right conditions, that stuff can cover your entire house in a few weeks. Once you start feeling nauseated, it is bad enough that the health department has to step in and make him clean it up.

Re: Housing beat w/ pictures(large)
I hope you're not spending even one more night there. Do you remember the Katrina coverage last year? Notice how everyone was walking around those houses in dust masks, gas masks and some in bio-hazard suits? Black mold. Don't spend any more time there unless it is to pick up your stuff and leave.

Re: Housing beat w/ pictures(large)
In washington state the landlord has 24 hours to respond for an emergency (like a murder in the building) They have 48 hours for items that need to be fixed quickly (like a broken toliet) they have 7 days for things wash machine, and they have 30 days for things like yard fence tipped over and isn't in danger of hurting anyone walking by.
As far as your area, I'm not sure. I would contact someone and really express the seriousness of this...if he continue to not do anything, contact a lawyer. |

Re: Housing beat w/ pictures(large)
It needs to be dried. With intake/exhaust fans. Big ones.
It needs to be scrubbed clean, quit using bleach because of: It needs quaternary ammonia applied to it. Often. For days. It needs to stay dry while the quat kills that shiz. If all that doesn't happen, it's there for good. A good coat of kilz primer later wouldn't hurt. |

Re: Housing beat w/ pictures(large)
Those pics are just disgusting. If in Canada, take them to rental board. In U. S. go for the jugular and sue, for medical expenses, pain and suffering, etc. Dude, come on you can't live in a place like that, even if that's not your floor. Good luck.
