Default Re: STT ROI/Fin in the $ Question

Do some searches on bankroll management to get some perspective on what a healthy roll would look like for each level. At lower levels, you can get away with having 30 buy-ins to moveup. I'm conservative and have huge risk of ruin fears, so I usually wait till I have 50. To each his own.

You could be sheets and stats after 21 tourney wouldn't matter.

Let me put it this way: Over a previous 300 tournaments, I've made no profit. Then, over the last 50 tournaments, I've made up all the money (nearly).

I move up whenever I have all three of these conditions met:

1) A fair amount of SNGs at the level (at LEAST 1k)

2) A SOLID bankroll for the next level. I didn't move up to the 15+1s until 1k$, even though I was beating them a few months before. It's a good thing I didn't, too, since I ended up "moving up" six times and then moving back down. That's important! If you've lost a certain amount of money, move back down.

3) I feel I'm beating my stake well and am making few mistakes. Of course, I still analyze my hands every day and so on.
