[ QUOTE ]
We are most certainly rooting for a ghana win, as that puts US's destiny in their own hands, and also gives them a chance to move through with a draw against Italy and a win against Ghana. [/ QUOTE ] good point. i still haven't had my coffee. i shall blame it on that. |

Re: Ghana Vs, Czech Republic
The reason a win is better is because we have no chance if we end up with the same amount of points as CZE due to goal differential. We have to get more points than CZE to advance.

Re: Ghana Vs, Czech Republic
Okay, currently, assuming for a moment that Ghana beats the Czechs:
Italy 3 points, +2 GD Czech 3 points, +2 GD Ghana 3 points, -1 GD USA 0 points, -3 GD A draw with Italy and a win over Ghana (1-1-1 - 4 points) would get through the group if Italy beats the Czechs. If the Czechs and Ghana draw... Czech 4 points, +3 GD Italy 3 points, +2 GD Ghana 1 point, -2 GD USA 0 points, -3 GD A win over Italy and a draw/win with Ghana would advance of the Czechs beat Italy. It's a longshot either way, the first scenario is obviously more likely, but I'm not sure we can draw with Italy OR beat Ghana. There are other ways of doing this with goal differential, but thse are the two best ways if I'm correct. |

KBZ-
that in addition to the ghanian goalkeeper having no clue as to WTF he's doing out there ensure us seeing more goals in this match |

Re: Ghana Vs, Czech Republic
Ok, some guy Czech just got injured so the ghana goalie threw the ball out of bounce and then the Czech inbounded the ball giving it right back to the goalie. Is this like an unwritten rule thing that the players artificially stop play when someone is hurt? A player wouldn't do this if he was by the opponents goal instead of his own, right?
