Re: Most over/underrated players in the NBA Draft
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] The problem is Tyrus reminds me of Stromile. Hopefully he's better than that nucklehead. Personally I think Sheldon will be a pretty good Pro even though I hate him b/c he's a Dukie. [/ QUOTE ] I agree, he has a ton of upside/potential, but could easily just be a bust. I don't think he really has any type of honed offensive game, so hopefully he will get drafted by a team with the right type of coach (ie not a Larry Brown type guy) [/ QUOTE ] Williams will never average more than 7 or 8 PPG in the NBA and he's not big enough to play center in the NBA. If he's lucky he can come off somebody's bench to hack Shaq or Ben three or four times. This guy is a classic Coach K, great in college, terminally unable to play his position in the pros type of player. I don't predict big things for Reddick or Morrison either. NT |

Re: Most over/underrated players in the NBA Draft
i don't get the all the JJ Reddick hate. The guy can stroke it from anywhere on the court... even if nothing else he does translates to the NBA, there's always a place for good shooters. I see him as a very safe pick and someone who can have an immediate impact.

Re: Most over/underrated players in the NBA Draft
[ QUOTE ]
Overrated: Morrison/JJ Not saying they won't be any good, but these guys were ridiculously hyped. [/ QUOTE ] In the case of Redick, I think a lot of you guys are confusing college hype for NBA draft overratedness. There is a big difference. JJ deserved the college hype, but he isn't getting near as much hype as a draft prospect because he isn't near as good of an NBA prospect as he was a college player. That being said, worst case scenario for JJ is that he bocomes a 3 point specialist, which is still valued enough that he'll stay in the league for quite a while. |

[/ QUOTE ] There's no place for a guy who's undersized at 2, not a good enough ballhandler or quick enough for the 1, can't guard his lunch, can't create his own shot and won't have the refs swinging from his jock strap. Re: Most over/underrated players in the NBA Draft
[ QUOTE ]
Over: Adam Morrison To be successful in the NBA, you have to have one on one skills. I can't wait to watch him attempt to score against Ron Artest, Quinton Ross, Bruce Bowen, basically any better than average defensive player. He will never be a top 2-3 player on a championship caliber team. [/ QUOTE ] I think that's a little harsh. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect him to be similar to someone like Wally Szczerbiak, which wouldn't be bad at all. |

[ QUOTE ] hi, my name is Tim Legler! [/ QUOTE ] good to meet you Tim, I'm Steve Kerr. Have you met my friend Craig Hodges? [/ QUOTE ] 1992 called, they want their obsolete gringos back. Seriously, JJ will be a major defensive liability and he's not a complete enough weapon offensively to make up for it. Plus, he went to Duke. NT |

Re: Most over/underrated players in the NBA Draft
JJ will be a fine bench guy as long as he is picked by the right team that can take advantage of his skills...one that has a great low post player or lebron/wade etc to drive and kick it out to him for 3.
