Re: Strategy question - Wait till the turn to raise
[ QUOTE ]
In the micro-limit no fold'em games there are normally a high number of players to see the flop. [/ QUOTE ] If you're playing online, I'd like to know where. Even the micros at the sites I've explored are pretty tight. I'm happy to get a table that averages 30+% to the flop. |

Re: Strategy question - Wait till the turn to raise
I find Titan is pretty loose at the nano levels (0.02/0.04), but people are pretty tight at 0.50/1.

Re: Strategy question - Wait till the turn to raise
I'm playing 0.5/1 myself. I guess that's towards the top end of the micro's. What's the official start of small stakes, anyway? 2/4?

Re: Strategy question - Wait till the turn to raise
[ QUOTE ]
Kazana, I don't understand the last one on your list: If the initial bettor is acting directly in front of you. It seems to me, if you're trying to protect your hand, and the person to your right bets, you can easily raise the flop so your other opponents have to call 2 cold. Do you mean if the bettor is to your right and calling 2 cold will still give weak draws correct calling odds? [/ QUOTE ] Sorry, I just expressed that badly. Yes, I mean the aggressor bets and in an optimal scenario, you're the next to raise making it 2 bets for the rest of the field. I should've said "the bettor acts directly before you". Damn it, I speak 3 different languages on a regular basis, no wonder I can't speak one of them properly. |

Re: Strategy question - Wait till the turn to raise
[ QUOTE ]
Also if you have a good hand you should look at the blinds be4 concidering waiting for the turn raise if the blind structure is 1:2 or 1:3 it can be more profitiable raising the turn with a 1:3 structure than a 1:2 structure. [/ QUOTE ] Could you eplain this? I don't get how the blinds structure affects post-flop behavior. |

Re: Strategy question - Wait till the turn to raise
*grunch*
By raising you fail to protect your hand properly since everyone else can call their (weak) draws profitably for one bet, assuming that the pot is large. You wait until the turn to bet/raise to make their calls unprofitable. Examples of this type of play are mentioned in the middle of SSH. |
