Also, Americans that say "Techno Beats" don't usually mean techno as a genre. Just like Brits who use "House" generically. They usually mean any electronic music.

Meh, it was a stupid joke. Pendulum gets criticized for making this kind of glossy d&b pop. For this, and for being popular in what's generally an underground scene, they're 'sellouts'. Which strikes me as being a little funny. I don't really have much of an opinion on them.
