Is it a foregone conclusion that Ghana will lose to the Czechs? Ghana/Czechs tie, US wins out = US advances. I'm not saying that the US has much a chance of winning out - but that doesn't mean they should give up even if Ghana loses today. In fact, there is only 1 scenario that causes the US not to advance should they win both remaining games.

man you gotta stop dreamin... the performance of the US today says 2 clear things 1 their midfield is outmatched (against a decent team)and 2 their defense is not coordinated, even against ghana you're gonna face tough competition

Read my post again please.
The US is highly unlikely to win out, but it's not impossible. And if they do, they are strong favorites to advance. The point is, they most likely still control their destiny.
