Sklansky in the big game? he was afraid of playing Daniel Negreanu heads up when challenged by Negreanu, and you think he can handle the big game?

Sklansky : Truly Great Poker Players is analogous to

College Professors : National/World Leaders and Top Businessmen

They can sit all day and ruminate on what drives global politics and the economy but they aren't the ones actually in the thick of it making the tough decisions.

It's also analogous to...

Physicist : Race Car Driver

Interesting...looks like it is that much different.

Can anyone provide me an example? Maybe an example of starting hands and how they differ? I have no experience even thinking about stud hi/lo with no qualifier.

Think about how comfortable you are with rolled up aces in Stud 8/b and hitting fifth street. Then think about someone with 5 unpaired cards on fourth street against your rolled up aces.

You are being freerolled about 99% of the time for half of the pot.

I grew up playing stud hi/lo with no qualifier, 6432A unflushed as the nut low. Bet - declare - bet at the end. You can go both ways, but you have to win both or you get nothing (obv). Fun game. I can see how the declare would get messy in a card room, but I think it would be perfect for the internet. I wish it would catch on.

Hi/Lo where the wheel can't win high and low seems silly.
