Boris,

The movie will be very good. The fact that you rate LLohan as awesome (of course) and Merly Streep as very good makes me question your acting intelligence.

This morning Bob Edwards interviewed Robert Altman and he basically siad that any director that actuallytried to direct Meryl Streep was an idiot. Meryl Streep is blessed with awesomeness.

But Lindsay Lohan was blessed with boobs.

samj - thank you.

WDC - Don't make me challenge you to an online IQ test. If you say Meryl Streep is awesome I will believe you. She was a bit before my time.

I can't stand the show. I listened to it somewhat regularly for a while (I love NPR) before I realized that I not only found the show lame and boring, but actively disliked it.

The show is just way too "white." It just drones on and on with music and jokes that are void of spark. It loops the same boring fake ads. In short, it's always the same old boring thing.

And I know that's supposed to be its charm. But I think that charm only works on old losers who

boris,

I saw the show live at Wolftrap (DC). It was alright, movie has a sick cast and some great material to work with.

drool - I havn't listened to the show in years. I agree the skits can get old. The Guy Noir shtick is lame. I enjoyed much of the music and the News From Lake Wobegone.

My dad used to listen to this in the car when I was a kid. I remember it as, on average, not very funny.

It looks hilarious from the previews. "You should cut back on the desserts...oh, and also the sex with men."

I despise Garrison Keillor and all he stands for. His voice consistently makes me want to kill myself. My mother used to listen to this, and my wife puts it on just to annoy me. I haven't heard a single good piece of music, decent skit, or funny joke on that show. Never.

Needless to say, I will not be seeing it.

I honestly do not understand how anyone could listen to "The News From Lake Wobegon" and come away with a passionate dislike for Garrison Keillor. Maybe it's not some folks' cup of tea, but his writing/delivery are fantastic.

I do think some of the other stuff (particularly the music) sucks, but that won't stop me from seeing the movie.
