I guess I'll post my update here.

I ordered the 2 books along with the Ed Miller DVD set.
They are now admitting that they have screwed-up and that my order was "missed."

I'm going to check to see if the books are available in my area and will cancel the order for those if they are (but still opt to receive the DVD set).

Here's the e-mail they sent:

I was waiting to hear from shipping. We had over 1,500 pre-orders on the two new releases. With all the craziness surrounding getting so many orders out, shipping has let me know that they missed a few. Unfortunately, yours was one of them.

I understand they are now available in bookstores. Do you still want us to send Harrington on Hold'em Volume III andNo Limit Hold 'em: Theory and Practice? If not, what about the Expert Hold'em: 4 Volume Set? Please advise.

Whatever you decide to do, please accept a $5.50 S & H credit towards a future order along with our sincere apologies.

Umm, Conjelco just got in touch with me and offered to send my book tonight via overnight UPS delivery. I really appreciate that.

What that must mean, however, is that they never sent my book even after they said they would last week.

With regard to the e-mail they sent me, I wouldn't think that 1500 pre-orders should be excessively difficult to handle.

I like to wait for all the mistakes and errors to get found before I buy the twoplustwo books. I never run into these problems, but I am sure the demand for the books was a little overwhelming. The errors in NLT&P would be distracting for me I think.

that's not a bad thought either.

I'm not sure if 2+2 books has more errors in 1st editions than other books because I really don't study other books that closely.
But it does seem strange to me that so many typos and errors make it into some of their first editions.

FWIW - In my situation, I have cancelled my order as per conjelco's offer. My local bookstore had them in so I just paid the full cover amount for them.

Speaking of typos:

I just read my previous post - I was intending to say that I would think that 1500 pre-orders would NOT be that tough to handle.
It just doesn't seem like that much to me.

On Thursday, Conjelco agreed to overnight my book to me, which I received yesterday. I appreciated that.

They indicated that they "thought" they had already mailed a copy to me the previous week, so I should return it when it gets here. Wanna bet it never arrives?

Anyway, case closed.

Never got my NLHETAP yet even though I pre-ordered. Guess I could send an e-mail and my order ID to Chuck.

It's nice to see that others in the same situation had the situation rectified.
