MMA=Mixed Martial Arts. It's a sport that combines grappling, striking and submissions. Examples are UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) and Pride.

Fedor was declared the winner because Randleman submitted. Randleman was a few seconds away from having his shoulder dislocated by Fedor's Kimura.

As far as the downswing goes, i definitly didn't go batshit insane, by poker dominated my thoughts when i wasn't playing much more than is typical for me. Also FWIW, last month i had a 25 buy in downswing at NL, a seperate 17 buyin downswing at NL, and a 400 BB downswing at limit. I still finished the month up a reasonable amount. This month is going very well so far, so hopefully i can dodge variance for a month or two!

Also, i will admit that right before that big downswing, i was on a huge heater and made like $1200/hr for my previous 175 hours or something, so helped me not go batshit insane.

Sam plays a high variance game though. I would be surprised if tight players who table/seat select heavily would be very likely to undergo a similar swing.
