Yeah, there was a little minor miscommunication. As it stands right now, this forum will be open in its present state until Saturday morning, and then JaredL will sculpt it into the World Cup Forum.

Update: World Cup topics are going to stay in sports, AND no other mods have currently come forward wanting to take this over with a new topic. Consequently, the Alcohol Forum is going to continue on, with no specific end date in sight. It will presumably come to an end in the future, though, and when that comes, I'll politely ask Mat and the new mod for a couple days notice so I can notify you guys, and any lingering discussion can wrap up before all the threads here are shipped to other forums. In the mean time, feel free to keep posting. If anyone was refraining from posting something because he or she thought the end of the world was at hand, these fears are, at least for the time being, unfounded. Enjoy, and bottoms up!

Both the previous Food topic and the current Alchohol topic have been successful in the playground... there have been some suggestions to add Health/Fitness to these topics and create a permanent forum for these topics...
